Lucius, Madison Cunningham Combine On ‘Impressions’

A soothing piece of songwriting...

Lucius align with Madison Cunningham on new single ‘Impressions’.

The band will release a new self-titled album on May 2nd – coming over a decade after their acclaimed debut, it finds Lucius digging back into their foundations.

Honing in on what drives them as musicians, the results so far have displayed an incredible sense of organic musicality.

Out now, ‘Impressions’ is a soothing piece of acoustic pop with Americana inflections – just right for the opening weeks of spring, there’s a subtle optimism at play in the songwriting.

Joined by close friend Madison Cunningham, the lilting, subtly uplifting track eases Lucius into a new chapter.

The band’s Holly Laessig and Jess Wolfe share…

“We wrote ‘Impressions’ in Ethan Gruska’s home studio in Los Angeles. Together with Madi, we were exchanging ideas and feelings about the changes in our lives and how to reckon with them. The choice as to what to keep with you, and what to let go of, as we grow and evolve. And the questioning of yourself when you’re living a life you don’t recognise anymore.”

Tune in now.
