LSDXOXO Returns With Visceral Nocturne ‘BLOODLUST’

"It’s about the power and stimulation you can find in relinquishing control..."

American artist LSDXOXO, real name RJ Glasgow, has shared his new single ‘BLOODLUST’, alongside a high-octane dance ‘VIP Mix’ version, out via his label Fantasy Audio Group aka F.A.G.

A prelude to a forthcoming debut full length, ‘BLOODLUST’ follows last year’s acclaimed EP ‘Delusions of Grandeur’, and is full of uneasy energy as LSDXOXO memorialises a power-play with a lover over a lacerating, reined-in groove.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind ‘BLOODLUST’, Glasgow shares: “The visceral feelings evoked by tumultuous love & forbidden lust sometimes make you want to avoid red flags and even seek them on occasion. Self-destructive tendencies coupled with a flair for the dramatic can make for an oddly satiating downward spiral. ‘BLOODLUST’ isn’t about becoming victim to a lover’s game – it’s about the power & stimulation you can find in relinquishing control.”

The last year has been a prolific one for LSDXOXO, who performed sold-out headline shows at ICA London and Trauma Bar Berlin, supported Beyoncé’s Renaissance shows in Germany as well as Fever Ray’s ‘Radical Romantics’ tour. The club maven has upcoming live show appearances at Ladyland, We Love Green, Dour, Roskilde, Body Movements and many more.

Accompanying the single is a music video directed by NYC production designer and director Griffin Stoddard (Yves Tumor, Kali Uchis, Kim Petras and Balenciaga), and styled by fashion entrepreneur Shayne Oliver.
