Louis Culture has shared his debut EP ‘When Life Presents Obstacle’ in full.
Out now, it’s a bold statement from the UK rap auteur, an artist whose vision remained unparalleled. A key facet of the Elevation Meditation crew, his singular approach utilises other voices, other viewpoints, and other modes of creation.
‘When Life Presents Obstacle’ is an intensely individual statement, a work that separates Louis Culture from the chasing pack. Driven by autobiographical zeal, the London artist gets it all down on tape, achieving creative catharsis in the process.
“This EP fills in the blanks”, Louis comments. “Everything I want to say is on there, everything I want you to know is on there. Love, grief, success, ends, depression, pain, being up, being skint, lust, motivation, adolescence, oblivion, perseverance and optimism. Hoping there’s at least one song that makes you feel less alone”.
Catch Louis Culture at London’s Peckham Audio on November 30th.
