Lou Phelps Drops Smooth ‘Touché’ EP

Check it out in full...

Montreal figure Lou Phelps has shared his smooth new ‘Touché’ EP.

Out now, the three-tracker continues his creative arc, moving from slick jazz elements through to darker aspects. Incorporating everything from Fender Rhodes keyboard flourishes through to grunge guitars, the project certainly illustrates his breadth, allowing Lou Phelps to re-define himself on his own terms.

‘Touché’ opens with the title track, with the bobbing rhythms capturing a laid-back feel, so reminiscent of his home city. He switches it up for the finale, however, delivering something larger-than-life in the process.

‘Greatest’ boasts production from his brother KAYTRANADA, utilising that manipulated vocal sample. ‘Here We’ was released as the lead single, and it remains an electrifying exhibition of what Lou Phelps is capable of.

The full EP is online now, accompanied by a new Igal Perets shot video which takes you to the streets of Montreal.
