Lou Phelps Details KAYTRANADA-Produced Album ‘CHÈLBÈ’

New single 'WHAT NOW' is an all-out banger...

Lou Phelps will release his second album ‘CHÈLBÈ’ on April 4th.

The Haitian-Canadian rapper is a vital force, melting together club tropes with his inimitable approach to the vocal booth. Switching up his flows, there’s an enormous sense of character to Lou Phelps’ impactful songwriting.

Out on April 4th, new album ‘CHÈLBÈ’ aims to build on the relentless energy of his debut. Produced comes from KAYTRANADA, and the two aim to resurrect the anarchic spirit of post-Millennial underground hip-hop.

Lou Phelps comments…

This album is all about promoting a lifestyle and energy—confidence, nostalgia, and individuality wrapped in the essence of 2000s-2010s jiggy hip-hop…”

Out now, new single ‘WHAT NOW’ is relentless – bursting with sunlight, it’s like a three minute Vitamin C overdose. Hip-hop meets house, it’s a genre-defying blast of invention from two artists who refuse to obey genre lines.

Speaking on the single, Lou adds:

“Rap is predictable and wack as fuck in my opinion – I’m creating a new sound with rap-house. It’s something that can exist in the club, in the crib, or while working out in the gym.”

Tune in now.
