Lou Barlow Documentary Plans

New film due from songwriter

Lo-Fi legend Lou Barlow has announced the release of his new solo album.

The former Dinosaur Jr. and Sebadoh man will release ‘Goodnight Unknown’ through Domino Records on October 5th.

It has been four years since Barlow released the critically acclaimed acoustic led ‘Emoh,’ during which time he has reunited with Dinosaur Jr. and reissued three classic albums by Sebadoh.

The release of his second full length solo effort signals another step forward for Lou Barlow, in the form of a set of immediate, melody driven pop songs which the man himself describes as, “a cross between my later work with Folk Implosion and my earlier work with Sebadoh, to my ears anyway!”

Dinosaur Jr.’s rise to legend status in the UK was kick-started by the release of the debut single from Blast First ‘Freak Scene’ in 1988, after which third album ‘Bug’ hit number one in the independent chart.

After parting company with Dinosaur Jr. in 1989, Barlow focused his energies on side-project Sebadoh and later, Folk Implosion.

Lou Barlow is set to tour ‘Goodnight, Unknown’ around the USA later this year as support to Dinosaur J.r.

Lou Barlow is set to release ‘Goodnight, Unknown’ on October 5th.
