Lostprophets have issued a statement following the arrest of singer Ian Watkins on child sex offences.
It's perhaps the most distressing news ClashMusic has reported in 2012. Yesterday (December 19th) Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins was arrested by police in Wales and charged with several child sex offences.
Denied bail, the singer has been accused of having conspired with a woman to rape a one-year-old girl. In addition to this, he also stands accused of two incidents of conspiring to engage in sexual touching with two young children; possessing, making and distributing indecent images; and possessing “extreme” animal pornography. Today, Lostprophets have issued a short statement. Explaining their shock at the news, the Welsh band have insisted that "we are learning about the details of the investigation along with you." Brief, but to the point, you can read the entire statement below.
