Lost Prince Record ‘Camille’ Due To Be Released

Via Third Man Records, no less...

Lost Prince record 'Camille' will be released later this year.

The record was completed in 1986, with Prince working under his feminine alter-ego Camille.

The project was shelved, and laid on a shelf at Paisley Park for more than 30 years.

Now Third Man Records have stepped in to secure the rights, with 'Camille' to be released later this year.

Chatting to MOJO, label co-founder Ben Blackwell revealed that the imprint will release 'Camille'.

“We’re finally going to put it out,” Blackwell said. “Prince’s people agreed – almost too easy.”

It's part of a flood of material emerging from the Prince vaults, with 12 albums set to be re-issued this year.
