Lost Bob Marley Track ‘Selassie Is The Chapel’ Released

Tune in now...

A lost song by Bob Marley has been unearthed.

The songwriter converted to Rastafarianism during the 60s, and became one of the belief’s best-known advocates. Bob Marley died much too soon, but gems still remain in the vaults – such as this paean to Haile Selassie.

The Ethiopian ruler visited Jamaica in 1966, and was greeted by Mortimer Planno – who then wrote the words to ‘Selassie Is The Chapel’.

Bob Marley crafted his own arrangement, and it’s been unearthed from the vaults by JAD Records. The recording is pat of a wider catalogue of Marley sessions, produced exclusively for the label in the late 60s and early 70s.

Unearthed, ‘Selassie Is The Chapel’ contains a message of hope and peace – just right for the Christmas season, then.

Tune in now.
