Los Campesinos! Swine Flu Drama

Entire group infected

Welsh twee pop wonders Los Campesinos! have been dealt a blow after being diagnosed with swine flu.

Los Campesinos! are set to return next year after a short break. Hooking up with producer John Goodmanson the Welsh group went about crafting new material in an American studio, just a few months after the release of ‘We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed’.

With a ferocious work rate, it seems that little can stop Los Campesinos! – however the band have been halted in their tracks by the swine flu virus.

In a new posting to fans, Los Campesinos! have revealed that every member has been diagnosed with the virus.

“ALL OUR BAND IS BEING DIAGNOSED WITH SWINE FLU” the group wrote on Twitter. “AND WE HAVE TO GO ONSTAGE IN TWENTY MINUTES!!”

“We’re not joking about the swine flu, by the way. THE SHOW MUST GO ON!!”

Asked by fans if they were about to cancel some shows Los Campesinos! claimed that they would try and complete the tour.

“OF COURSE WE’RE NOT GOING TO CANCEL ANY GIGS YOU BUNCH OF WUSSES.”

Los Campesinos! were due to play Leeds Cockpit venue last night (October 29th). The remaining dates traverse the UK with their new single ‘These Are Listed Buildings’ available from each show.

Los Campesinos! are set to release their new album ‘Romance Is Boring’ on February 1st.
