Multi-limbed Welsh indie collective Los Campesinos! have offered fans the chance to win a special reminder of their recent North American tour.
Los Campesinos! may well seem like a bunch of limp-wristed indie types, but the band have evolved into a ferocious live monster. Bustling with energy, the group blast through their chirpy hits with all the zest of a three year old on Sunny D.
Recently the band took off on tour across the United States. Anticipating a long journey, Los Campesinos! bought a record box and announced a cunning plan.
Stopping off at record stores along the way, Los Campesinos! filled the record box with souvenirs. In each city they visited the group bought a new record or a fanzine, packing the results into the box.
Now the group are back on British soil, with Los Campesinos! set to give away their record box in a new competition.
The box contains some rare items. Xiu Xiu / High Places take pride a place with a split seven inch including a David Horvitz polaroid, while scratchy London types Lovvers gain a place with their single ‘Laughing Man’.
Obviously indie-centric, the box was in the main compiled by uber music-freak Gareth Campesinos! and as such reflects his taste. Casiotone For The Painfully Alone appear, while one time Shred Yr Face cohorts No Age and Times New Viking both earn a slot.
In addition to the records the box also includes miscellaneous badges and a few fanzines, just for good measure.
