Los Campesinos! are set to launch their new album ‘Hello Sadness’ on three continents.
They say travel broadens the mind – if so, then Los Campesinos! must have some of the broadest minds in indie-dom. The multi-limbed collective are preparing to release their new album ‘Hello Sadness’ and due to demand have announced plans for three separate launches, on three different continents.
The Cardiff formed band will launch the album with a show in the UK next month, before packing their bags and heading to the United States. As if that wasn’t enough the group decided to go the extra mile and fly to Japan for a third and final launch party.
Clocking up air miles like no one’s business, Los Campesinos! will fit in a few British headline shows along the way.
Arranged to celebrate their new album, the band have also outlined plans for a new single. The title track of the new LP, ‘Hello Sadness’ will be released through Wichita on November 14th.
Based on a very real heartache, Gareth Campesinos! introduces the single by saying: “Hello Sadness is a song of longing, it’s a hand that once held and felt, but now claws and grasps at your own chest. The impressions love leaves, the bleaching caused by someone else’s light and what remains when they’ve left.”
Due to be released on November 14th, the single will coincide with a number of headline British dates. Opening in London, the band will play a sold out show at Kings College on November 7th.
Continuing with shows at Brighton, Cardiff and Glasgow the short UK tour finishes in Leeds on November 11th. Flying out to the United States, Los Campesinos! will then begin their global launch party.
