It's easy to forget that Lorde is still a teenager.
Given her maturity, her global success, the BRIT Award winning artist often seems to have moved far beyond her years.
Earning widespread acclaim, Lorde was recently given the ultimate accolade when Bruce Springsteen covered breakthrough hit 'Royals'.
Performing in New Zealand, The Boss turned the single into an acoustic track with added harmonica to perfect that Americana lilt.
Speaking to news.co.au (via NME) Lorde revealed her shock at the cover. "My Twitter went mental. Everyone in New Zealand was like 'You can't believe what just happened!' It was so exciting. It was the highest honor. He's such an incredible songwriter. I got a little teary. It was very cool."
"It's crazy when someone like that is covering your song," she added. "Those words were nothing before I put them into my laptop and started messing around with them in the studio. It's crazy to me they could come out of someone's mouth who is that respected."
