It's a hugely personal moment for Hannah Reid...

London Grammar have shared their beautiful new single 'America'.

The band's new album 'Californian Soil' is due to be released this month, and it finds the group at their most revealing.

Languid new song 'America' is an incredible ballad, with Hannah Reid attempting to release negative emotions, and escape the trauma of the past.

A song about letting go, 'America' utilises the metaphor of the American Dream, and it's reliance upon redemption, and personal reinvention.

Hannah Reid comments... "'America' is about my journey of letting go of the past, and learning how to write music again following a difficult time with my health. I use the idea of the American dream to wave goodbye to the things that I didn’t need anymore."

Tune in now.

'Californian Soil' will be released on April 16th.
