LL Cool J has reportedly detained a burglar after an attempted break in at his home.
As a rap icon, LL Cool J’s fame is assured. Notching up a string of hits during what has been termed the Golden Era of Hip Hop, the MC’s stubborn flow and cutting lyrics placed him ahead of the pack.
Now LL Cool J has secured another reason for immortality. Disturbed during the night, the rapper found a man attempting to burgle his home.
According to Stateside police (via BBC), a scuffle ensured before LL Cool J managed to detain the would-be burglar. “LL Cool J, and his family, are safe and thank everyone for their thoughts and concern,” said his spokesman, Rhett Usry.
“As a father, husband and citizen, he is committed to keeping his family safe and is cooperating with authorities on this private matter.”
Funnily enough, LL Cool J now earns his living as a rapper. Current roles include special agent Sam Hanna in ‘NCIS:Los Angeles’ which focusses on a West Coast criminal investigative unit.
