Lizzy McAlpine’s ‘Older’ Is A Hushed Showstopper

The title song of her new album...

Lizzy McAlpine has shared new song ‘Older’.

The songwriter’s wonderfully engaging 2022 full length ‘five seconds flat’ served notice on her potent artistry, and the hushed intensity with which she approaches music.

Build in Los Angeles alongside co-producer Mason Stoops, new album ‘Older’ takes Lizzy McAlpine a step further. With additional production from Ryan Lerman of Scary Pockets, Jeremy Most (Emily King, Norah Jones) and Tony Berg (Taylor Swift, Boygenius), she’s able to finesse, and fine-tune her work.

Out now, title song ‘Older’ is imbued with symptoms of growth. Still only 24 years old, she tackles the theme with incredible maturity, the dulcet vocal peppered with an emotional ache.

Bold enough to leave space in her music, Lizzy McAlpine conjures visions of swirling self-doubt, before reaching a form of mature realisation.

A bravura performance, ‘Older’ leads in to what could be a very special album indeed.

Tune in now.
