Liza Shares ‘The Alternate Ending’ EP In Full

A beautiful evocation of personal truth...

Rising force Liza has shared her new EP ‘The Alternate Ending’ in full.

The Ethiopian-Canadian singer/songwriter is a force to be reckoned with, combining R&B tropes with pop ambition, gelled together with ruthless personal honesty. Music is a space for expression, with Liza choosing full autobiography in her work.

Out now, ‘The Alternate Ending’ is her second EP, and it brings together some of her diverse, varied musical influences. It’s a gorgeous listen, at times reminiscent of Sade’s vocal control while also pointing to the future.

Executively produced by Liza and long-time collaborator, Akeel Henry, she exudes soulful control throughout. Joined by some special guests, other contributors to the project include Jack Rochon (Beyoncé), Marcus Semaj (Tyla, Snoh Aalegra), WaveIQ (Goldlink, VanJess), Kofo (Wizkid) and more.

Speaking on the EP’s release, Liza says:

“‘The Alternate Ending’ delves into the realms of possibility, exploring the divergent paths that could have unfolded and the myriad “what if” scenarios that might have shaped your journey differently.”

“Serving as a continuation of my 2021 debut EP, ‘DONE IS DONE’, it offers an alternate culmination to what was initially envisioned.”
