Time spent apart can bring you closer.
Just ask Wye Oak: Jenn Wasner and Andy Stack spent long months together on the road following the success of 2011's 'Civilian', culminating in two nights at an ATP event chaired by The National.
Taking a break, the two musicians began exploring entirely distinct new directions – Jenn Wasner even began releasing fresh material under the Dungeonesse and Flock of Dimes monikers.
Yet this just seems to have re-freshed Wye Oak. New album 'Shriek' drops on April 28th, with City Slang once again helping support the group.
For now, fans can cast their ears across new cut 'The Tower'. Experimental synth-pop with a stark, post-punk influence it's oddly nagging, straight-laced funk recalls a more unkempt Tom Tom Club.
