Wild Nothing has shared glimmering new song 'Partners In Motion'.
The American artist is currently readying new album 'Indigo', set to arrive next month on Captured Tracks.
Recorded at LA’s Sunset Sound with co-producer Jorge Elbrecht, it aims to produce a pristine level of sound, matching technology to Wild Nothing's patiently humane songwriting.
“I wanted it to sound like a classic studio record, as close as I could get it there. It just boils down to me wanting to fit into some larger narrative, musically, in terms of these artists I love,” he comments. “I think about how my music will age. Ideas of ‘timeless’ are going to be different—so if Indigo is not timeless then it’s at least ‘out of time.’”
New song 'Partners In Motion' delves into that figurative 80s sound, with the watery guitar effects augmented by analogue synths and that breathy saxophone solo.
It's definitely not retro, however, a real trip, a hypnotic, swirling mesh of sound. Tune in now.
'Indigo' will be released on August 31st.
