With Peace and Swim Deep signing to major labels and Jaws generating a load of blog hype every time they drop a demo it's easy to overlook Troumaca, a band who were one of the catalysts that sparked this wave of new bands flooding out of Birmingham.
Now nestled amongst a bunch of quality artists on Giles Peterson's Brownswood Recordings, Troumaca are ready to drop their debut EP, 'Virgin Island', on January 28th next year. 'Lady Colour' is the first track to be posted online from the EP and immediately shows why it is folly to lump a bunch of bands together under one journalistically convenient 'B-Town' label just because they come from the same city.
