A nuanced, searching return from the UK producer...

UK producer Tourist has shared his bittersweet, nuanced new song 'Apollo' - tune in now.

The electronic musician kicked off Tourist as an entity in 2012, and since then has notched up all manner of plaudits - including a Grammy.

Now he's set to bring those various threads together under the banner of Tourist Essentials, a means of collecting his aesthetic adventures as one coherent entity.

He explains: "I’m interested in exploring human themes through sound. Family, mental health, loss, love. I sit at home by myself most days, writing music. It’s quite an insular life, and it can be claustrophobic, but I suppose much of my new music is an attempt to produce work that is outwardly facing."

"I want my music to connect and to tell a human story through samples, sounds and melody. I have always found these components of music much more interesting than words / lyrics."

New release 'Apollo' is being brought under this banner, a nuanced, exploratory piece that utilises ambient textures but re-contextualises this with a driving rhythm.

Opaque house production with a nagging sense of melancholy, 'Apollo' is another typically original piece from Tourist.

Tune in now.
