Listen: Tom Walker – ‘Play Dead’

The bells are ringing for Tom Walker today..

Born in Scotland and raised in Manchester on a musical diet of Ray Charles, The Police and Bob Marley thanks to his fathers record collection, Tom has spent the last few years bunkered up in a house-share DIY studio environment with 12 other musicians (including members of Whilk & Miskey) refining and honing his sound.

The bells are ringing out for Tom Walker today. Graduating from tour support slots with Maverick Sabre, Sam Hennshaw and Gallant into a packed festival season this year including stand-out performances at British Summer Time, Secret Garden Party and sold out headline show Tom really sunk his teeth into 2016.

Following that with today's release as a prequel to forthcoming material and his debut full-length album via Relentless Records, new cut 'Play Dead' see's Tom pushing his already established soulful and meticulously crafted sound into new vast expanses. With a marked arena sized difference in sonic landscape wrapped around Tom's signature vocals the track retains the light, shade and intimacy of moments of previous cuts we featured 'Fly Away With Me' and 'Sun Goes Down' both racking up over a million plays on Spotify. We have high hopes for the forthcoming album.

Slow down your heartbeat for a moment and check out 'Play Dead' now:
