The Heatwave have stepped in to provide TNGHT's 'Higher Ground' with a trap-meets-Dancehall refix.
In case you've been living under a rock for the past 12 months, TNGHT is a partnership comprising Hudson Mohawke and Lunice. Jet-propelled hip hop, the pair have supplied 2012 with some of its biggest anthems. 'Higher Ground' is no exception.
Heavy, low slung hip hop it has rampaged through clubs in sets from some of the biggest DJs around. Now The Heatwave have stepped in to provide a new refix, dragging TNGHT in some unexpected directions. Alongside their usual Dancehall flair, the refix nods towards the much hyped trap scene.
Featuring guest appearances from Mr Lexx, Nikisha and Jamaica's Olympic bronze medallist Warren Weir, you can bet that this will be getting plenty of re-loads during The Heatwave's set.
