The Walkmen are streaming new track ‘We Can’t Be Beat’ – the latest preview of upcoming album ‘Heaven’.
Recorded with Phil Elk, The Walkmen’s new album ‘Heaven’ is a typically cocky return. Decamping to Seattle, the band have added some surprisingly soothing acoustic edges to their sound.
Thus far, the band have offered up streams of new cut ‘Heartbreak’ alongside the title track. Now The Walkmen have made ‘We Can’t Be Beat’ available online – listen to it below.

Chatting with ClashMusic recently, frontman Hamilton Leithauser was on typically uplifting form. “We were sitting in the studio late one night just talking and we said that this has been really weird because it’s been the easiest writing we’ve ever had” he said. “I have no explanation for it. I really love it because I think we’ve captured something fantastic here.”
Due to be released on May 28th, The Walkmen will follow ‘Heaven’ with a one off London show. Missing the opportunity to unveil ‘Heaven’ in Heaven, the band will instead play the Village Underground on June 12th.
