The Orielles have shared their new single 'Sugar Tastes Like Salt'.

The trio have been creating a buzz in their native Halifax for some time, with live shows revealing a set laced with fresh ideas.

Snapped up by Heavenly Recordings following a session for 6Music's own Marc Riley, the band have unveiled new single 'Sugar Tastes Like Salt'.

It's a heady trip, veering from lysergic, tripped out guitar lines to copped up post-punk rhythms with a gleefully deviant sense of humour.

'Sugar Tastes Like Salt' feels like it belongs mid-way between an ESG demo and A Certain Ratio, with a dash of The Chameleons on the side.
