The Ivy have shared new single ‘Too Much’.
The duo’s third EP is out now summer, with the project continuing to broaden its scope. Out in full on June 10th, the Oklahoma pairing are sharing a furry of previews, emphasising their pop core.
New single ‘Too Much’ dips into vintage 80s pop, while also reclaiming a subtle sense of soul. Think those Hall & Oates mega-bangers and you’d be close, with the pair adding a 2k22 viewpoint into the mix.

“‘Too Much’ started with just a drum loop and bass line. The pocket felt so good, that it made the song easy and enjoyable to write. We wrote it alongside production duo SameSame (Rob Cohen, Blake Mares) who helped us hone the feel and sound of the track. The idea of overthinking a conversation is a way too real…”
Online now, ‘Too Much’ comes as The Ivy prep for their new US summer tour alongside Grayscale.
