Listen: The Invisible Cover Arcade Fire

'The Suburbs' gets re-worked

The Invisible covered Arcade Fire’s ‘The Suburbs’ on Radio 1 last night – listen to it below.

The Invisible have long been ClashMusic favourites, but this year has seen the band move closer to our heart than ever. In ‘Rispah’ the band have released one of 2012’s most emotionally engaging documents, a work that reveals more with each listen.

Dropping past Radio 1 last night, the band recorded a quick live session for Huw Stephens. Playing a re-worked version of upcoming single ‘Generational’ the group then performed a cover version.

Tackling ‘The Suburbs’ by Arcade Fire, The Invisible play a relatively straight, but quite beautiful version. It’s worth catching, and you can stream the entire program on iPlayer HERE.

Meanwhile, The Invisible are set to release new single ‘Generational’ on October 15th. Alongside the original version, fans can claim a Theo Parrish remix and a cover of album cut ‘The Wall’ by close friend Anna Calvi.

Tracklisting:
1) Generational (Radio Edit)
2) Generational (Raw Version)
3) Generational (Theo Parrish Remix)
4) Generational (Theo Parrish Edit)
5) Anna Calvi – The Wall (Originally by The Invisible)

The Invisible are set to play the following shows:

October
13 Liverpool Studio 2
14 Glasgow Captains Rest
15 Manchester Soup Kitchen
16 Leeds A Nation of Shopkeepers
