An unreleased track from The Doors is streaming on the band’s Facebook page.
The Doors are one of rock’s most iconic bands, a group whose story is part of the musical tapestry for an entire generation. So when a ‘new’ cut from the band turns up, there is a massive audience waiting to hear it.
‘She Smells So Nice’ was re-discovered recently, lingering on the tapes for ‘L.A. Woman’. Bruce Botnick, the album’s co-producer with the band, found the track after listening back to those original sessions.
Helping to spruce up the album for its 40th anniversary, Botnick has overseen the release of a new version of ‘L.A. Woman’. Out soon, the album boasts a second disc containing some hidden snippets from those iconic sessions.
Amongst the artefacts uncovered is a short section featuring Jim Morrison talking in the studio. Reflecting on ‘Riders On The Storm’ it features the exact moment the singer suggested adding those famous thunder cracks.

Of course, this isn’t the only ‘new’ Doors track to emerge recently. The remaining members of the band caused uproar by working with dubstep producer Skrillex on the upcoming single ‘Breakn’ A Sweat’.
Created as part of the Re:Generation documentary, ‘Breakn’ A Sweat’ is set to be given an official release later this year.
