The Big Pink have constructed a new mini-mix to preview their forthcoming ‘Tapes’ compilation.
Formed from two veterans of the noise scene, The Big Pink have a surprisingly broad range of influences. Taking their name from a classic album by The Band, the duo are also intrigued by dance music.
Djing in their spare time, electronic traces can be found throughout their debut album ‘A Brief History Of Love’. Now The Big Pink are set to break cover with a new mix as part of the iK7 series ‘Tapes’.
An ongoing mix series, The Big Pink have reached for the turntables to present their selection of the finest cuts around. Alongside floorfillers courtesy of dubstep king Joker, the mix moves from witch house to indie rock.
Featuring Gang Gang Dance and oOoOO the mix also contains a previously unreleased cut from Henny Moan. The London based producer has donated ‘Vreg Dreams (Little Slow Mix)’ to the new mix.
Out now on iK7, The Big Pink’s ‘Tape’ mix is both an insight into the provocative duo and a worthwhile cross-section of new electronic music.
As a special preview, the duo have assembled a new mini-mix which you can stream below…
