Steve Mason has shared new song 'Walking Away From Love' – tune in now.
The Scottish songwriter had a brief look back earlier in the year, with the Beta Band catalogue receiving a full vinyl re-issue.
Apart from that brief dalliance with the past, though, Steve Mason remains future-fixated, with a new album arriving shortly.
'About The Light' lands in January, and it finds the songwriter incorporating his touring band into the writing process.
A departure from previous solo endeavours, 'About The Light' finds Steve Mason seeking out the energy of his live shows. He comments:
“I decided with this album that I wanted to get my live band involved at every stage because I wanted to capture the energy that we produce when we play live shows, so this time the band and myself worked on a collection of songs over the course of last year”.
New single 'Walking Away From Love' is a snappy return, a heart-on-sleeve thumper that recalls mid 60s British pop with its thumping Bo Diddley influenced beat.
