Something's happened to Slow Club.
The much loved indie pairing have always specialised in bittersweet indie pop, but recently the band's sadness and longing have increased in line with their sonic vision.
New album 'Complete Surrender' drops on July 14th, with Slow Club making 'Suffering You, Suffering Me' available online. It's a stunning effort, focussing on Rebecca Taylor's soulful vocal.
The opening lines recall Etta James' heartbroken 'I'd Rather Go Blind' before the arrangement switches into something from the Motown songbook.
Rampaging to a grandiose finale, Taylor channels her inner Diana Ross to wrench out every nuance of emotion from the lyric.
Watch it now.
