Sleigh Bells have unveiled a cover of Beyonce’s recent hit single ‘Irreplaceable’.
Sleigh Bells and Beyonce – on the surface, strange bedfellows. Yet somehow, the pair have become closely tied.
Recently the band decided to cover the singer’s hit track ‘Irreplaceable’, and revealed it on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show last night. Listen to the cover below. (via NME)

Strangely, Sleigh Bells wound up in the studio with Beyonce last year. Diplo roped the duo in to work with the pop princess, writing on his blog at the time:
“Me and Switch was in (the) studio in NYC tryin’ to make tracks with Derek and Beyoncé last week after we played (Beyoncé’s) team (the Sleigh Bells) album,” he wrote. “Dunno if we gonna manage to finish, but (it) was good times.”
Sleigh Bells are the latest Clash Magazine cover stars, with the band opening up about their new album ‘Reign In Terror’. Here’s a snippet from Derek Miller:
“I feel like I made ‘Treats’ in a state of denial. I was in shock at a lot of things that had gone on in my personal life. ‘Reign Of Terror’ is me confronting them head on and dealing with them. While we were making ‘Treats’ it was really easy to bury my head in the sand and just focus on the record and band, but eventually you gotta pay the toll. I couldn’t run from it anymore. I was having to deal with a lot of stuff that was not very pretty. It was strange to be vulnerable for such a long period of time, and I had to confront what was going on in my life head on. I know this sounds pretty dramatic, but that’s the reality of it.”
