Listen: SKIA – ‘Pocket’

Infectious Scandi-pop with a clear sense of individuality...

SKIA returns with new single 'Pocket'.

The Scandi-pop riser is working with Heist Or Hit, and she's shared a flurry of superb singles.

The latest in this alt-pop lineage is online now, with 'Pocket' utilising playful vocals and bombastic, 80s leaning production.

From the clipped guitar line to the woozy electronics, 'Pocket' is intent on playing the game by its own rules.

With the layered vocals and chirruping chorus, it's a playful but intensely provocative return.

SKIA comments…

“I wrote this song when my friend Nina went back to Munich earlier in the year after having a rough time, and I became worried she wasn’t going to come back to Liverpool again. We’ve both made a life in a new country, and the feeling of not knowing where we belong creeps up from time to time. ‘Pocket’ is essentially a song about friendship, and about working through your problems together instead of fleeing from there”.

Tune in now.
