Guildford four piece Sissy & The Blisters are streaming their new EP ‘Let Her Go’.
Since when did it become a criminal offence to be caught in day-light carrying a guitar case? These days it seems that the most staunch of indie fans have swapped their limited edition seven inches for the latest synth-pop outfit.
It’s their loss. Bubbling under the surface, a generation of true believers are busy having the time of their lives. Sissy & The Blisters are a bunch of cocksure retrobates from Guildford (of all places) who seem intent on living life the way they want to.
Live shows – we are told – are a flurry of blood, sweat and tears flooding down onto jeans as tight as their riffs. Debut EP ‘Let Her Go’ might not be the most original thing we’ve come across lately, but Sissy & The Blisters have a palpable energy that burst out of the speakers and slaps you in the chops.
Music references: Nuggets, The Birthday Party, The Horrors, The Cramps, Phil Spector, Thee Headcoats.
Try before you buy? Why sure…
