Siskiyou are streaming their impressive second album ‘Keep Away The Dead’ on their SoundCloud page.
Focussed on Colin Huebert and Erik Arnesen, Siskiyou introduced themselves with a sparse, edgy debut album. Expanding to a four piece, the added muscle has allowed the Canadian group to take risks on their second LP.
‘Keep Away The Dead’ is out now, with Siskiyou shifting into more pastoral textures. The album is packed with acoustic tones, although the Canadian four piece are unafraid to raise the volume.
A cover of Neil Young’s ‘Revolution Blues’ hints at the spooky, paranoid atmosphere which pervades the new album. A title such as ‘Keep Away The Dead’ practically demands a Halloween reference, but the reality is that Siskiyou really have managed to encapsulate that Autumnal feel.
ClashMusic gave away a new cut from Siskiyou as ‘Track Of The Day’ earlier this week. ‘Twigs And Stones’ is a nice keepsake which you can grab HERE.
Now Siskiyou have decided to stream ‘Keep Away The Dead’ in its entirety. Listen to it below…
