Rising future-soul voice Shaqdi has shared her single 'Predictable'.
The London-based, Swedish-born artist made her introduction with debut EP 'Colorless' last year, an evocative, mature, nuanced exploration of feeling.
Shadqi utilises an out-R&B prism to view her creativity through, something she expands on her next project.
A full EP follows in April, with the London based songwriter sharing new single 'Predictable' through East Of Eden.
Re-contextualising classic tropes for a 2k20 landscape, it's a digi-leaning arrangement that pits her gilded voice out front.
"'Predictable' is about trying to get over someone who’s making it difficult for you to move on," she explains. "After breaking up you feel like sh*t for a while and then when you finally start to feel a bit better you get that text from them saying ‘I miss you’ or some other cheap shot."
Shaqdi adds: "Admittedly it does feel really good to hear but incredibly sad at the same time, and just not at all what you need."
