Shattered electronics with an emotional pull...

London producer Loraine James has stepped in to remix Scintii's new release 'Times New Roman'.

Scintii recently signed to Houndstooth, a label whose reputation for excellence places it at the cutting edge of electronic music.

The Shanghai based Taiwanese producer is an apt signing, with her groundbreaking approach forging fresh pathways in digital composition.

New single 'Times New Roman' finds the singer-producer on riveting form, and it's resulted in a short flurry of remixes.

Vital London talent Loraine James steps in to re-work the song, exploding it in the process, before reintegrating the parts in a fresh order.

It's an IDM leaning remix, but one that also contains traces of future-pop in its DNA - the initial sessions for 'Times New Roman' actually involved PC Music guru Danny L Harle.

Says Scintii: “I don’t really think about genre... I think about what I'm trying to communicate – an atmosphere, or an emotion".

A radical, engrossing, and adventurous re-work, you can check out Loraine James' take on 'Times New Roman' below.
