Reclusive producer SBTRKT has pointed fans towards a brand new instrumental cut ‘Surely’.
Real name Aaron Jerome, SBTRKT finally came out of the shadows last year with the kaleidoscopic view of bass culture that was his debut album. Hugely acclaimed, the producer has remained almost continually in demand ever since.
Which is perhaps why a new instrumental cut is such a big deal. Last night (March 11th) SBTRKT pointed fans towards ‘Surely’ – all hip hop driven kicks ‘n’ snares, with some gorgeous, hazy synths.
Judging by the picture which accompanies the release, ‘Surely’ is set to gain a release via Young Turks. Stream ‘Surely’ below.

ClashMusic spoke to SBTRKT last year, just as the producer’s debut album was approaching its release date. Musing on his anonymity, Aaron Jerome had the following to say:
“I’d rather not talk about myself as a person, and let the music speak for itself. The name SBTRKT is me taking myself away from that whole process. I’m not the most social person, so having to talk to DJs to make them play a record is not something I want to do. It’s more about giving them a record as an anonymous person and seeing whether they like it or not. If they play it, they play it.”
