Sampha has shared new track 'Happens' – listen to it below.
For too long now, Sampha has remained in the sidelines. The English artist worked with Drake on his new album, allowing his music to be consumed by a global audience.
Yet fans still urge to hear Sampha come to the fore. New single 'Too Much' is the solo version of a track sampled by Drake, and features some plangent, emotional songwriting from the London songwriter.
Out today (November 12th) the single comes backed with 'Happens'. Astonishingly, this new track is arguably as strong as 'Too Much' and demonstrates the quiet intensity which Sampha is capable of unfurling.
Wonderfully wrought, 'Happens' finds Sampha alone at the piano, his high, keening voice floating over clusters of twinkling ivory.
