Sampa The Great has shared her wonderful new track 'Heaven' – tune in now.
The Australian artist's new album 'The Return' lands on September 13th, a work of striking depth and maturity.
Taking real risks, Sampa The Great infuses her rap styles with an incredible sense of soul, making each word count.
New song 'Heaven' is online now, and it was prompted by a near death experience, a moment of intense reflection.
The backing vocals come from Whosane, while Sampa's very own sister Mwanje also contributes to the song.
Sampa The Great explains…
“‘Heaven’ is where I detail my encounter with a 'near death experience' or so I thought,” explains Sampa. “With this experience and in most cases for people who experience such, it causes you to change your thinking patterns and evaluate the importance of certain things in your life."
“‘Heaven' is the detailing of that stage and the emotions behind it. Sung by the ever talented and beautiful Whosane, along with the most beautiful vocals by my own lil sister, Mwanje".
Tune in now.
