Listen: Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever – ‘The Hammer’

Catching, intelligently pieced together indie rock...

Australian outfit Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever have shared delicious new track 'The Hammer'.

The band's debut album 'Hope Downs' emerges on June 15th, and it matches a lingering sense of despair at the state of the world with some fantastic indie rock songwriting.

Matching spiky jangle pop influences to an almost wistful lyrical sensibility, the five-piece continually deliver the unexpected.

Here's Tom Russo…

“We were feeling like we were in a moment where the sands were shifting and the world was getting a lot weirder. There was a general sense that things were coming apart at the seams and people around us were to. The songs on this album are like a collection of postcards about wider things that were going on through the lens of these small characters.”

'The Hammer' is online now, with those sharply intricate guitar lines combining into a wire mesh, supporting some gilded harmonies.

Tune in now.
