Posting their first track online last year, it was clear from the off that PANES were almost entirely unique. UCL student Tyson McVey and recording engineer Shaun Savage bring to the table something new, something which isn't bound by trends or hype.
Signing to Smalltown Supersound offshoot Brown Rice, the duo's debut EP is out now. A blur of left field hip hop, slick electronics and woozy pop influences, lead cut 'Bones' has now been re-worked.
Swamp81 heavyweight Mickey Pearce has stepped in on remix duties, driving the track into near footwork territory. The chopped up vocals are glitchy yet hypnotic, while the rhythmic pulse is sheer house debauchery.
