Initially released on a difficult-to-locate Animal Collective cassette, ‘The Preakness’ has been frequently re-visited by Panda Bear in his solo guise.
With new album ‘Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper’ out now, an extended Japanese version has been pressed containing a number of additional sonic nuggets.
Re-recording ‘The Preakness’, Panda Bear adds in some motorik tendencies; billowing synths and Beatles-esque vocals abound, with the singer utilising some gorgeous aural tapestries.
