Raised in a small rural Swedish village, MY Helmner had a seemingly idyllic upbringing. Surrounded by forests, mountains, fast flowing melt water and the wilderness and felt that stark contrast keenly when moving to the inner-city to pursue her first love songwriting.
Bubbling with a stark and restless energy, 'White Water' is infused with that sentiment. In MY's own words the track is "like a wild river coming alive from the winter, with white water breaking through the ice." File under flawless Scandinavian pop with bucolic roots.
