As impressive as Mount Kimbie's debut album was, 'Crooks & Lovers' felt like a starting point rather than a definitive document. Opening themselves up to new influences, the duo's next step is a typically impressive step forward.
Currently signed to Warp, the band are set to release second album ‘Cold Spring Fault Less Youth’ on May 27th. New track 'Made To Stray' hit the net recently, revealing a sharply percussive side to Mount Kimbie's work.
Now fans have 'Blood And Form' to feast on. A raw yet bouncy track, there's a buoyant Futurism, a willingness to experiment here which points towards some potentially exciting new directions.
Will the duo follow these directions on their new album? Time will tell…
