Soaraway grime cut re-worked...
German Whip

One of grime’s most beautiful precepts is that it remains possible to assert your own identity, to dictate the rules of the game.

For better or worse, grime does its own thing exactly when it wants to. Meridian Dan’s ‘German Whip’ doesn’t have a message, it isn’t trying to save the world – it’s just the sound of an MC (working alongside guest stars Big H and JME) electrifying the studio and riding on top of a ridiculous beat.

Sheer energy, the original has clocked up more than one million YouTube plays without gaining any kind of mainstream support. A few seconds ago Zane Lowe dropped a surprise, getting behind Meridian Dan’s cut in the most vocal way possible.

Introducing the track, Zane Lowe dropped a remix courtesy of Two Inch Punch. Retaining that 140 stomp, the producer adds a metallic sheen, a pristine glare to Meridian Dan’s untamed vocal.
