Every now and again Clash will receive something in its Inbox so curious, so evocative, so wilfully idiosynratic that we can't help but play it on repeat.
'Husbands' is one such track. Written by Marker Starling, there are shades of Beach Boys baroque pop in the arrangement, while the vocal delivery has traces of David Byrne's off kilter approach.
A curious affair, the lyrics are partly informed by cult horror 'Rosemary's Baby' and contain such gems as: “I'm giving the ridiculous a try…”

Marker Starling will release new album 'Rosy Maze' on March 30th.
