Listen: Margot – ‘Walk With Me’

"It’s about listening, friendship, understanding..."

Margot dig in to how crucial empathy can be with their latest song, ‘Walk With Me’.

Lead singer Alex Hannaway’s words float around the song, feeling inspired by the delivery of early-Beach House or Real Estate.

Melding this with soft-hued guitars makes for the freshest of listens. Already a busy year for the Peckham five-piece, who formed in 2018 as two groups merged. They have been putting out self-produced dream-pop treasures ever since, with ‘Man Love’ receiving some traction earlier this year off the back of their debut EP, Margotzeko.

'Walk With Me' works as a conversation between someone experiencing a depressive episode and another trying to understand.

"It’s about listening, friendship, understanding, I’ve had experiences where friends, family members have been patient, they’ve been persistent and caring, and it’s this that has really helped me in my life," explains Hannaway.
