Still only 18 years old, Liverpool based Låpsley has a remarkable maturity to her sound.
It's electronic pop music – hardly a scarcity round these parts – but the confidence in which she approaches these ambient, spectral sketches is to be admired.
Early cuts such as 'Station' and 'Painter (valentine)' caught our attention, with new track 'Falling Short' hitting the web a few moments ago.
It's an imposing return. Låpsley seems to have this devastating sense of control, resulting in something which is blissfully contagious and also deeply affecting.
