Aidan Moffat is streaming the new L. Pierre album 'The Island Come True' online for one weekend only.
Laying dormant for a few years, Aidan Moffat recently decided to dust down his L. Pierre moniker. Allowing the songwriter to focus more on sound and form rather than lyrics and composition, new album 'The Island Comes True' looks to be a typically intriguing proposition.
The Scottish artist's fourth album under the moniker, 'The Island Come True' was seemingly conceived of as a damaged, disintegrated salute towards older, imperfect methods of recording. "Everything sounds so clean and clinical and perfect today" he explained recently, "but I love hearing something that sounds worn and suggests the music has a history. It’s gorgeous and sad at once, as though it's lived a life and survived to tell the tale.”
As a special treat for the weekend, Aidan Moffat is now streaming the album online in its entirety. Available now, you'd better act quick as this is scheduled to be pulled from the web when Monday morning comes rolling around.
'The Island Come True' will be released through Melodic in January. Tracklisting:
